About Me

Being a therapist is a second career for me. I spent years in a career that I enjoyed but didn’t quite leave me feeling fulfilled. Choosing what to do next was a no-brainer. I’ve always been the friend who is a “good listener”, I’ve always been interested in psychology, and my own positive experiences in therapy inspired me to want to offer that same support to others.

My Approach to Therapy

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens when you feel safe, understood, and accepted just as you are. My role is not to fix you, but to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself—where your thoughts and feelings are welcomed, not judged.

My approach is rooted in a person-centered foundation, which means I listen with empathy and authenticity, and we work together as partners in your growth. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you make space for difficult emotions while staying connected to the things that matter most to you. I also incorporate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify unhelpful thought patterns and practice new ways of responding that support positive change.

My goal is to walk alongside you as you discover new ways of coping, build on your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and balanced.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not seeing clients, I’m usually spending time with my son, husband, and our recently adopted dog. I love a good walk in the woods, crafting, reading or watching Harry Potter for the 1000th time, and eating ice cream at any opportunity.
